Mesopotamia is the name given to the region in the Middle East between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Mesopotamia is a general name given to some lands of Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran, and a very important and
fertile region witnessed the migration of many tribes. Mesopotamia has been a region where different tribes lived
together throughout history. Continuous migrations to the region for a long time both prevented the political
power from following a certain line and fueled the development of cities and societies in cultural and
technological terms. The Mesopotamian region has been home to some of the world's most well-known and well-established civilizations, such as the Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, Assyrians and Arameans. Besides, many other tribes lived in Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia, which has been the scene of intense migration since ancient
times due to its fertile lands and suitable climatic conditions, has been a region where many different cultures and peoples mixed, and therefore it has been the scene of civilized development. Many civilizations developed in the region, which hosted the first known literate communities, and for this reason it was also called the Cradle of Civilizations.
